How the project runs

Step 1: Request & price indication
Send us your mascot, logo, illustration or design. Based on the files, the size and the quantity, we put together a no-obligation price indication.
- Upload your design and tell us what you need through our plush configurator.
- We assess what is possible and prepare a no-obligation price indication.
Step 2: Approving the price indication
Happy with the indication and the quantities? Then we start the sampling stage.
- We confirm the design, the size and the quantity together.
- From there we turn your design into a plush toy that can actually be manufactured.
Step 3: Sample development
We charge a contribution of €225 towards developing a sample. Production only starts once you are happy with it.
- Adjustments and revisions are worked through until the design matches what you expected.
- The aim is a sample you are completely behind.
Step 4: Receiving the physical sample
As soon as the sample is ready, it is shipped to you.
- Judge the quality, finish, materials and character yourself. In real life, in your hands.
- That way you know exactly what you are getting before production starts.
Step 5: Sample approval
Happy with the sample? You then receive a Sample Approval Form from us.
- With this form you confirm that the sample is approved.
- The approved sample serves as the production reference for the entire run.
Step 6: Deposit & production
Once the Sample Approval Form is signed and the agreed deposit is in, we start production of the full run.
- The factory produces every toy exactly to the approved sample.
- We monitor quality and keep you informed of progress without you having to ask.
Step 7: Testing and inspection
Two or three plush toys from the production batch go to an independent testing institute. We keep control of that process ourselves; it does not run through the factory.
- They are real production pieces, not a sample, so what is tested is what you actually receive. The institute determines which tests are needed under NEN-EN 71-1, -2 and -3 (mechanical and physical properties, flammability and migration of certain elements), carries them out and documents the results in full.
- The test report is issued in the name of Plutoys and you receive it.
Step 8: Delivery
After production the toys are shipped to the Netherlands and received at Plutoys.
- We carry out a final check and arrange delivery to your organisation.
- That way you are assured of an end product that matches the approved sample.
